DMCA Policy
Overview
EverythingMoe respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our directory to do the same. EverythingMoe is a link directory — we do not host, upload, or distribute any media content ourselves. All links point to third-party websites that are independently operated.
In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512, we have established the following policy for handling claims of copyright infringement.
1. We Are a Directory, Not a Host
EverythingMoe does not host any infringing content. We index URLs and descriptions of websites. If you believe a third-party website that is linked from our directory is infringing your copyright, the appropriate course of action is:
- Contact the hosting provider or operator of the third-party website directly.
- If you wish for us to remove the link from our directory, follow the procedure below.
2. DMCA Takedown Request
To request removal of a link from our directory on copyright grounds, submit a written notice that includes all of the following:
Required Information
- Your identity: Full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
- The copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work(s) you claim have been infringed, or a representative list if many works are covered.
- The infringing material: The specific URL(s) on EverythingMoe that link to the allegedly infringing content.
- Good faith statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or law.
- Accuracy statement: A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.
3. Where to Send Your Notice
Please submit DMCA takedown notices via our GitHub repository or community channels:
Please use the subject line: DMCA Takedown Notice — [Site URL]
4. Our Response
Upon receiving a valid, complete DMCA notice, we will:
- Review the notice within a reasonable timeframe (typically 5–10 business days)
- Remove or disable access to the link if the claim is valid
- Notify the submitter of the affected link if applicable
Incomplete or deficient notices may not be acted upon. We are not responsible for delays caused by incomplete submissions.
5. Counter-Notification
If you believe a link was removed in error or through misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification must include:
- Your name, address, phone number, and email
- Identification of the removed link and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the link was removed due to mistake or misidentification
- Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal courts in your district (for U.S. users) or equivalent jurisdiction
- Your physical or electronic signature
6. Repeat Infringers
EverythingMoe reserves the right to permanently remove any listings from users or sites that are subject to repeated, valid DMCA notices.
